wallmenis ( @wallmenis@lemmy.one ) English13•2 years agoI wish gamers found a new respect for their privacy and stopped demanding anti-cheat systems that are invasive. Then we can have the most compatibility we can.
Edit: typo
OrnateLuna ( @OrnateLuna@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) English8•2 years agoI don’t think gamers are demanding invasive anti-cheats they just don’t want to see cheaters in their games which is a different thing
Drew Belloc ( @drew_belloc@programming.dev ) English8•2 years agoNo one like anti-cheats, some games even run worst with them, and because of that people who pirate the game get a way better experience most of the time than the ones who pay for they games. Also some anti-cheats lock you from playing in multiples devices in a short period of time, so if you share your library with your family/friends orif you like to play on different devices, you may be locked out of the game for a few days
wallmenis ( @wallmenis@lemmy.one ) English1•2 years agoWoah! Did not know this was a thing!
thenamesmas ( @thenamesmas@aussie.zone ) English11•2 years agoStill waiting for the Deck to become officially available in Australia, but I’m pleased to see the progress recently in Linux gaming in general.
Drew Belloc ( @drew_belloc@programming.dev ) English3•2 years agoSame here on Brazil, it cost my two eyes to buy it from a reseller
Ivyymmy ( @Ivyymmy@lemmy.one ) English3•2 years agoThe same for the islands… We are screwed.
