The article says it has no tomato and no cheese. Where I come from we call that bread.
Modern pizza is nothing like ancient “pizza” which was basically flatbread seasoned with oil and herbs and only eaten by poor people.

If my memory recalls correctly from reading 1491, tomatoes did not make it to the new world until 1500 years after this fresco, so likely not a pizza like we know it.
