davefischer ( @davefischer@beehaw.org ) English14•9 months agoWeird. I’ve programmed tek vector graphics terminals, and I’d never heard about this before today.
Actually, what’s really cool is the giant vector displays a few companies made in the 60s:
d3Xt3r ( @d3Xt3r@lemmy.nz ) 10•9 months agoThat looks like something straight out of Star Trek (TOS)!
Ubermeisters ( @Ubermeisters@lemmy.zip ) English3•9 months agoStar Tek
Doombot1 ( @Doombot1@lemmy.one ) English5•9 months agoYou’ve programmed Tek vector terminals, as in, you used to work for Tek? Or just on the side as a hobby or something?
davefischer ( @davefischer@beehaw.org ) English8•9 months agoAs a hobby. I set up a tek-4015 running geometric fractals (trees, snowflakes, etc.) in an art gallery type installation once, about 20 years ago.
Doombot1 ( @Doombot1@lemmy.one ) English1•9 months agoThat’s pretty sweet. Have always wanted one of those terminals; I feel like you could do so many things with them.
