Jebora for Android refuses to work because it doesn’t support v0.17.4 any more.

      • There is also another client package on Google Play for Jerbora you can use to hold at the previous version while we are waiting for Lemmy 0.18.1 to be issued and Beehaw to be migrated. My memory is the admins said a week or two with luck. So they seem to be aware and thinking about this issue.

Edit: Correction, I think the other package is some sort of apk. I could not find it on Google Play. I just switched to “Connect for Lemmy” instead. Seems to work pretty good, but I am not sure it is FOSS if that matters.

  • If you’re still having issues with Jerbora, you could try ‘Connect for Lemmy’ which is on the PlayStore. No idea if an iOS version is available. This isn’t my app, I just stumbled upon it by accident. I am finding the app really good at present.

    • I’ve been trying liftoff lately, it has it’s own issues but it’s working fine with 0.17 instances plus it allows you to add accounts from multiple instances

    • I’m trying all the Android apps. Connect is fine, but some UX bugs are driving me nuts. The text scaling options in settings don’t seem to do much to change the miniscule font size of the comments even at largest option, making it really difficult to use. Also the comment reply box is stuck below the comment and on-screen keyboard covers it completely, making it impossible to see what you’re writing. I’ll keep it installed and see if future updates resolve this.

    • Same issue here. I’ve sent feedback to Developer. It was starting with a minimum version warning but now I see the changelog screen briefly before it crashes and burns. I guess that’s the price of living at the bleeding edge of the fediverse ;) In the meantime I’m back to Vivaldi mobile.
