Had a class in university where we used some weird c written model running on “Linux”.
The Lecturer actually used Opensuse Leap XCGE or something, the ugliest distro I ever saw hahahah. The software was not installable at all, even after trying everything.
They provided a VirtualBox image for the people not having native Linux. But Virtualbox doesnt run on Fedora without weird kernel mods.
So in the end I would have needed to use Windows to use Virtualbox with Linux hahahah wtf
Lesson: Guys use QEMU

why not just use literally any other distro? Also can’t you use vbox images in qemu?

True. Can you? Have to try that out

I also hate Virtual box and prefer QEMU. Not sure why people don’t give you the freedom to use either.

They gave it to me but had no premade disk image which for some reason was the only way to get this to work

Wat? I used it a couple of years ago on Fedora… All I had to do was install it

Maybe dnf automatically installed that module, but on Kinoite it doesnt work, i.e. on the standard regular Linux Kernel
XFCE might not be very current in its design, but it’s stable and solid and its parts well separated.
