I’m sure many have this problem of, what do I buy for the person who has everything I can already afford? 'cause I have that problem now. My dad has gone deep into 3DPrinting in his retirement (he handed me down my Ender 3). He’s got both an Ender 3 and a resin printer, tho I can’t remember what model.
I was hoping to pick the hive mind for some useful 3D printing related ideas that won’t break the bank. Some useful utilities that maybe I hadn’t thought of. I’d really appreciate any help.
fl0ken ( @fl0ken@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years agoFilament or spare parts is imo always an option (at least that’s what I tell people who want to get me something). Otherwise ask if he has any plans regarding upgrades etc. and get him an upgrade kit?
GameGod ( @GameGod@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoFilament is an easy one. Get some good kind of PLA or PETG. (most brands of “PLA+” or “PLA pro” are strong and easy to print). The most useful colours are black, grey, and for cosmetic stuff, white.
Do they print mostly cosmetic stuff like models or functional parts that need strength?
