    I really hoped we would get it on Android as well. You may need it just once in your lifetime but it could be a life or death situation

      I don’t know, if you’re getting yourself in that kind of situation, you should know you’re going to be beforehand, so just get a satphone.

      But I guess it’s better to have it and not need it.

        Getting lost while hiking is not that extreme though. It could happen to anyone. Or getting in an accident while skiing for example or whatever

          It can also aid after a disaster such as a hurricane when cell networks go down, although technology is coming a long way to reduce that disruption.

    Eh I switched to iPhone for it. If the 8 had it I would have stayed on Android. So one lost user.
