Home usage, nothing crazy but I want something reliable. This are my options:

- TP-Link TL-SG1005D

- TP-Link TL-SG105E

- Linksys SE3008/SE3005 (5 ports is enough, but I find the 8 port version cheaper)

- Aruba Instant On 1430 5G

First time I heard about Aruba, spec whise I think it is the best. Compared to the TP-Link TL-SG105E, it doesn’t have the IEEE 802.1q protocol but has IEEE 802.3i, IEEE 802.3z and IEEE 802.3az wich the TP-Link doesn’t.

Any advice is welcome.

Edit: Currently running an old (good?) Cisco E3000 dd-wrt flashed, but is giving me problems…

They’re basically a commodity item. I’d suggest the Trendnet TEG-S50G @ $15.29 via Amazon or the Trendnet TEG-S82G if you want 8-port @ $24.99 via Amazon.

Prices go up if you want a managed switch or a PoE switch or the combo.

Yeah, I know, unfortunately I’am in Argentina and the options in my budget are the ones already listed. Thanks for your recommedation anyway!

Little story for context: Had a Mikrotik RB750GR3 ten months ago. Got fried in a storm and the electric company didn’t take charge in the matter… Had an old TP-Link (Router Wi-Fi, 150mbps ) until I had enough with freezes when downloading things at 100mbps and jumped to the Cisco E3000 (), usable, but still getting weird.
