I have some grid paper, and a couple of monsters picked out. Let’s see where that leads us!

How fast can you pull an interesting battlemap and an interesting encounter ?

Because I had DMs making me wait while they cobbled something last minute that we couldnt avoid, meaning they could have planned it in advance with 0 chances of wasting the preps

Oh easy, just draw what the players see and let them discover the rest as they go.

Then throw the right player a trigger line and you have half an hour to draw the next 5 lines.

That works ! Drawing lines when the caster doesn’t know what to do is tight !

Honestly that hasn’t become much of a problem yet. When I know there’s going to be combat I’m pretty good at prepping in advance but the rp and other stuff I tend to just make up on the fly.

It’s also how I ended up with two NPCs named Phil…

I’m sorry that the shambling wreckage of the rest of my life negatively impacted the thing I put together for your amusement.

I’ve got a magic item that I thought about a lot. Time to build a series of adventures around that

I really want to use the Alchemy Jar in a game. But I never found a way to fit it into the story.

Great item to throw in a random loot pile. Can fit in a pile of any creature of any CR. Why is it there? It was part of different treasure and no one bothers to use it or get rid of it. It’s a dungeon white elephant
