The struggle of being an adult.
Can finally afford the games, but no time to play them
I hate that. I love new games but never fully play the old ones.
Same…
I am thoroughly whelmed.
Dredge. Should be a perfect Deck on the sofa after work kinda game.
Probably buying Cult of the Lamb. Waiting to get my OLED Deck first though, still only at “packaged”. :/
My spouse loves that game, super cute art style and creative concept.
I just got Tunic and Unpacking on sale.
You’re in for a treat with Tunic.
I found the intro to be really obtuse but dang if pushing through didn’t pay off. That game is great.
I really enjoyed it though I found some of the later puzzles to be so obscure and difficult that I ended up looking up a lot of answers.
Just bought Lil Gator Game, Just finished Lil Gator Game.
Was moved to tears multiple times.
In all seriousness, I recommend it as fuck. And it plays amazing on the deck too.
That game looks a bit like “a short hike” thanks for the tip, bought it
It is! I loved both, you’re in for a treat!
Okay, i’m instantly in

Ooh, I forgot Hat in Time was a thing, I guess I should play it even if a little late
Oh yeah you should! Cute, charming and i keep suspecting it was a bit of a love note to Calvin and Hobbes because the unnamed girl is just like the little girl version of Calvin 😆
Go blind if possible. Do have in mind that the platforming in most of the game isn’t too hard but there’s points where it does ramp up significantly.
Already not blind for the first half of the game because there was a wild Alpharad once.
Spoilers don’t hold power over my enjoyment generally though, so gonna I’m go check it out either way
Also I crave the difficult platforming.
Nothing! I’m going with a Sega Dreamcast/Gamecube classic, and jumping into Phantasy Star Online BB for the holiday weekend. Apparently private server even has a guide for getting it running on Steam Deck (or any Linux distro), but I’ll just be playing on PC.
I just got a 2nd hand Oculus Rift S for cheap, so I’m gonne take a look at the VR offers, as this is my first VR experience.

This is very thorough, thanks! Though I’m missing one of the reasons I got this thing: the 7th Guest VR. It’s a VR remake of the old DOS FMV game!

Cool! Thanks!
I wholeheartedly recommend Synth Riders if you’re into rhythm games!
Beat Saber & VTOL VR are my recommendations for VR games that can be more then a 30min ExpErIEncE.
You didn’t ask, I know… :-)
It’s appreciated anyway! Put beat saber on my wishlist!
Check out VRchat. It’s free and frankly what meta is trying to build…but it’s already here
I just got a Steam Deck and will be using it as a console with my wife & kids - in that light I’ve bought a lot of smaller co-op and local multiplayer games:
- Stick Fight: The Game
- Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure
- Moving Out
- Broforce
- Cook, Serve, Delicious
- Portal 2
- Rubber Bandits
- HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED
- Horizon Chase Turbo
- Ultimate Chicken Horse
- Human Fall Flat
- CarX Drift Racing Online
- Nidhogg
- Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed Collection
We’ll see what else we’ll go for, but that should help us get started :)
I recommend giving Plate Up a look!
I got Cassette Beasts specifically for my deck, though everything else I got should work, though the controls might be rough.
You’re in for a treat, Cassette Beasts is so underrated. I played it at release and I still listen to the music regularly.
I highly recommend Death Must Die. It is early access, as a fair warning. But it successfully mixes up Hades with Vampire Survivors and a few others. Runs great on Deck as well. The dialog can be cringe and the story is clearly under development. But if you want a fun gameplay loop–this is the game.
Monster Hunter Rise + DLC for me and qt gf. 60% off and runs like a dream! 60 fps with default settings.
Is the coop system in monster hunter rise like it is in monster hunter world? Bc me and my so both enjoyed the game but the coop for world was so strange. Almost not even coop
Black Mesa, The Master Chief collection, Ori bundle and Sonic Superstars. 70€ ;_; (because that fucking new Sonic game is too expensive, even on 30% sale)
Got a bunch of Pinball FX tables.
Trying to keep it tame this time as Monster Hunter Rise has me plenty busy. Got Forza Horizon 4 and may come back for an Aeon’s End expansion later.
