The legacy of blood quantum racial politics in the US has never abated in Indian Affairs since our federal policies haven’t evolved and many assume the people being affected today all went extinct a century ago. The conditions our government has imposed on Indians which persist to this day are completely fucked in every way and cause immense unnecessary suffering in the wealthiest nation on Earth.
