So if I understand this scheme right, a standard 6 pack of cans are going to cost £1.20 more and I am going to have to collect them and store them separately to the other 4 separated rubbish categories I already have.

Then lug them all to a collection point to get the deposit back instead of placing them in my recycling that I already pay the council to collect every (other) week anyway.

What I would really like would be a feeder than I can fully dismantle and put on the dishwasher. Unfortunately the ones I’ve tried it with before, eventually the plastic tubes crack and split so are obviously not dishwasher safe. Maybe a glass tube would work?

Because that’s the alternative universe where people are competent and think things through for more than 2 seconds before they do things.
