I had the same realization after posting, but left it as is cuz it’s still not the AI driving the push for efficiency, it’s the bullshit firings. AI is being used as a scapegoat - it’s the malicious management that’s culpable.

In the US you can look up people’s voter registration and see which party they’re registered with. Not sure if this is every state or just some, but it’s at least been the case in all the sates I’ve lived in. I’ve never seen one that actually displays your ballot selections though, just the registration status, but that could be a thing if there’s a state that allows it.
