It’s not like they can stop you from doing DIY HRT if you tell them, and they’ll still be treating you for your stuff regardless of what drugs you’ll be taking. They’ll probably warn you that it is an increased risk (because it is kind of a risk) but if you’re willing to take that risk, you could just do it. The only risk I do see is if you end up in the hospital for an extended period of time, it might be a difficult thing to have your HRT. But you can start up afterwards just fine.

I guarantee you’re not the person taking the most risk in the hospital, but make sure you know how things will affect you. But in the end, if you think that now is the time to take HRT, now is the time. It’s your body
