  • Idk about the chicken, but if the parakeet I had as a kid is any indication, it shit on your car because the little fuckers actually aim. Your car stands out to a bird: it moves, it’s shiny, it’s loud… and birds are just smart enough to be mischievous little fucks, taking the bird’s attention basically means the car is now a target.

Parakeet would fly over to some piece of furniture or anything we didn’t want to clean bird shit off of: we’d move it or shoo it away. Bird learned which items it wasn’t allowed to shit on… when it was upset at us, it’d fly over to one of the no-zones, and fucking wait until one of us was watching; then it’s shit while holding eye contact, give off a kind of “fuck you!” squawk, and fly off.

    Little bastard.

  • You people can never tell can you?

With houses like that? Fuck no.

It’s like they asked an architect to design a house that looks like an AI hallucination.

The low res obscuring details, the weird pathing of the walkways, hand rails that look like they’re mid-collapse, what looked like a garage on the side of the house on the right (it’s a window - again shitty res)… Yeah that shit looks wrong as hell.

If I’m wrong I’m wrong, but I’ll definitely stand by that it looks like AI slop.

  • people with bad teeth have had them accidentally knocked out in the past.

That’s actually more common than you would expect. Intubation is one of the parts that can from zero to shitstorm in kind of a hurry, and longer you go without an airway, the less your anesthesiologist gives a shit about things like teeth - they’re an obstacle, and if they need to brute-force their way past them, they sure as fuck will.

Normal population won’t have much issue with this - it’s more difficult airway (like severe obesity making the whole oral airway semi-occluded by default) + decades of dental neglect or like meth deterioration.

But it happens often enough that “Any loose teeth?” is something that literally everyone gets asked prior to general anesthesia.

  • Bummer. Though not entirely surprising - as pervasive as they sound, if the shape and texture made them a good candidate for lawns, I’m sure it’d have been tried well before my two neurons fired off the idea.

…I do wonder if there’s a similar candidate. I don’t know jack about what herbs and such actually look like before making it into a jar in my kitchen, but if there is something that grows comparably to clover, feels decent to walk on, and smells decent when trimmed, even if it’s not quite as amazing as mint…

I mean, if we’re gonna go through the trouble of growing a crop just to cut it and throw it away, it might as well at least smell nice, right?

Or we could do the smart thing and ditch the lawn for a legit herb garden that we can actually consume… but that kind of logic is a tall order.

  • Absolute musts are Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Otherwise stick with the rest of the popular ones and you’ll be alright - Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64. Star Wars had a few good ones - Rogue Squadron, Shadows of the Empire (janky as fuck, probably didn’t age all that well, but was pretty innovative for its time), Episode 1 Racer (although if you’re also emulating PS2 games, Star Wars Racer Revenge is much better imo).

Jetforce Gemini ofc, but I’m not kidding about the controls being dogshit - proceed only if you’re willing to completely rewire your perception of which buttons are supposed to perform which actions.

Some multiplayer greats are Super Smash Bros and Gauntlet Dark Legacy.

IIRC Aero Gauge was a decent racer, although the SW ones are better.

Kirby Crystal Shards was a solid 64 adaptation.

…I think at this point I’m just rattling off what I can remember from my own collection, lol. The nostalgia juices are really flowing!
