The weather isn’t very Augusty! I’m full of cold too, so it just feels like we’ve hit autumn early.

A friend of mine lived on a narrow boat. Was perpetually docked at a marina though and that’s how they got electricity etc. Presumably there was a post station there too.
It was quite a nice built up marina too.

Where I work I have a fair amount of contact with homeowners, and some looking to buy/sell.
More often than not, the solicitor is chasing documentation in the last week before handover and they get really shitty about it. Despite having a very long time to have sorted the paperwork as its historical information they’re getting from me that will have been available for the whole process.
Seems a case of “they can get away with it, so they will”. Cos every time it cocks up, the solicitor doesn’t seem to get the blame.
Woodhenge is a bit underwhelming (a few wood stumps in a pattern) but as it’s a good starting point to the free path, it’s a nice landmark to check off!
We went here a couple years back.
Drove to Woodhenge (a lot less impressive, but cool and you actually get to walk around the henge itself) then took a 40 minute stroll through some fields to get to a public footpath that was about a metre away from the paid stonehenge footpath.
Was really nice, we sat down, had some snacks and admired the henge.
Then later on our trip we passed through Avebury which is essentially a village surrounded by a henge. Massive rocks that you can touch, sit on, whatever.
Few tips for any stonehenge tourists! There’s a lot of history in that area.
They built a wall at ours to stop people doing this.

My knowledge of some things is quite limited, but I love a repair when I can do one. The dishwasher fix sounds quite complex to me, so kudos for being able to sort that!
Usually for me they’re quite little, like fixing a button on the dryer (a plastic dobber snapped and became lose, not having the rigidity to press). A bit of superglue and it works fine.
Similarly, things like u-bend replacements, light pendants being changed, dowels put into loose cupboard screw holes and re-drilled.
All quite low level stuff, but it is satisfying to do it all for a fraction of the cost of professional repair or replacement.

I stare at myself in the mirrored surface. I presume there are cameras, so I don’t weird out in there 😬
I feel that! We’re away next week in Blackpool and if the sun isn’t out it’ll be a dire one!
