I’m not a train guy so I’ve only been on a few but by far it was Flåmsbana. I was just exploring around in Norway on my day off and happened to hop on this train on a whim. It is apparently a world renowned line along a fjord and up a mountain passing beautiful scenery and waterfalls. I heard it’s one of the steepest railways in the world. Definitely a highlight of my time in Norway.

Really depends on the region. It snows infrequently where I am and we just don’t bother with the infrastructure to deal with the rare snow dump. There are few plows, most people don’t have tire chains, we mostly just hunker down until it melts off.

I love when I come across a recommendation list like this where they’re all among my all time favorites and one thing I’d never heard of. Caveblazers doesn’t look like my kind of thing but given the context and the sub $1 price I guess I gotta check it out

Freelancer was such a good game, I wish there were more like it.

One that I really like is navy beans cooked in chicken broth and rosemary, served pretty loose and creamy but not too soupy. We eat it with a side of lemony broiled broccoli, a poached egg, and topped with aioli.
