All this rage can be solved with a bit of empathy, compassion, and help. A “hey, did you know you can do X?” does wonders, even if you have to repeat it a couple of times, as people need reinforcement to learn. All of these things are second nature to anyone who works with computers because we have practised them a lot, but to other people it’s just magic, and I think it’s unfair to get angry at someone for what they don’t know or never had the chance to learn.

13·3 years agoIf you look closely you’ll notice it’s a scam. That seems to be a cat, not a flea.
Unless the fleas are actually selling cats now.
Hey, I took finding the best Bluetooth speaker to put inside a custom built porcelain WC VERY seriously for my latest black metal album.

Movies and TV Shows@lemmy.film•Scott Pilgrim Takes Off | Official Trailer | NetflixEnglish
3·3 years agoThe comic is about the journey of discovery in which Scott and the reader slowly find out that Scott is a shitty guy to everyone. The movie tried to condense that into a fun, short action movie, losing the message in the way.
Mooom, the sims are posting memes again!
Probably the classic web developer / German techno producer combo.

But Lemmy’s codebase is in Rust. That’s a Java error, so I suspect that’s an Android app error.

PC Gaming@kbin.social•This is half-rant, half question. Maybe 4 months ago a key was pressed on my keyboard which rendered it borderline useless for days - multiple reboots, driver reinstalls, win-spacebar, troubleshooters
2·3 years agoSounds to me like that’s a function provided by the hardware, in this case your keyboard, so as long as you didn’t actually disconnect the keyboard for it to lose power, it would stay. At least now, if it happens again, you know where to look.
Also, gamer cat :P
Oh yeah, I wasn’t implying that, just building on it
