I’m also doing a lot of thinking and I don’t know if what I am shooting for is electoralism. I mean it depends on getting into power and then breaking capitalism by any means. Even illegal means. So many I fall more under a peaceful revolution type. I need to think and read a bit more. I am not built for reading.

I’ll have to check those out, but I am worried I won’t find a satisfactory answer. Would you say it is as solid as Marx’s take down of Capital?

As for the reformist versus revolution question. Your rhetoric indicates that it’s a solved problem. I find that really hard to believe.

How was it solved? How can we be sure there isn’t a set of material conditions that would allow for reformism to work?

Thanks for the detailed comment. I don’t plan on taking it too seriously. The comments that weren’t banned show that it isn’t a serious place. At least I have a good reason not to interact with that server anymore. The only reason I comment there is in the hopes that some see the hypocrisy and get to a better place.

Your work improves the lives of others more than it will improve your own. Which others is determined by politics. Best to spread the improvement around so you can get more of it back from more people.

As others have said, you are stealing kinetic energy from the planet to go faster. Or giving kinetic energy back to the planet to go slower.

So, relatively, you slow down and the planet speeds up or the planet slows down and you speed up.

That’s the problem with having a partner. They just think you’re so cute and hot. And you think they’re cute and hot. It all gets very distracting.

I remember struggling with the idea that all companies care more about the bottom line than anything else. People are good and care about good things. How can companies who are made of people always cause problems? There must be at least one good company out there, right?

It’s only after I spent some time in the world that I figured out that money really messes with things. It pressures companies to do whatever they can get away with. It separates the people who run the companies from the bad outcomes that company creates.

And at the end of the day everyone needs to make a choice. Live and participate in a system that causes problems, or die. I chose to live and I don’t blame anyone else for choosing to live.

In a capitalist economic system, you can never be sure.
