Yeah, it does dry if I set it out for too long 🙂 but I use it enough that it isn’t an issue.
Ooh. I’ve heard about the ranga pens! They look gorgeous to me!

Yeah I get that, and I can agree in some way. But, it’s all a matter of taste at the end! Thank goodness for all these different generic systems. 😁
I mean, fate still has a little bit of that bell curve. But I’d say I have to agree with you on there! It makes it so the roleplay has a little bit more probable that the result makes sense, if that makes sense.
I’ve always wanted to try FATE, but I’ve been a bit scared off by the metacurrency. Well, I’m “trying” it in a solo RPG, and it seems fun so far! But my worry is that the results feel a bit madlibbed on my part… I’m now curious, what do you like more about that system? I haven’t managed to make an opinion yet, but I do think its very fascinating in it’s simplicity!
Perhaps! Though something like that would require a lot of moderation to make sure that users are trustworthy and not just farming addresses or PO boxes. Like, a verification system of some sort… I’m not sure where to even start with that! Does Lemmy even have flairs?
But it would be cool to have a place to discuss penpal-ing and other related stuff like wax seals or envelopes!
My very first ink I brought was this. The noodlers polar green ink. It feathered like nothing else even on good paper sometimes… But the color is still gorgeous to me. But as it stands I’m unable to use it
Its good but heavy! It was my second fountain pen ever and ive used it til now!
Thanks for putting this together!!! This is awesome! 😊
I feel what you’re thinking of is “theater of the mind” in which games are run without a map or a grid. Its how I run my gurps game even though there’s options for grids. I think a rules lite rpg like FATE would work better but even with regular DnD (I’m not familiar with pathfinder but I’m assuming its along the same lines) as long as everyone can keep in mind where everything is, it could work out perhaps.
authors do get money from libraries that buy the books. and in some places they even get money depending on how much its checked out.
Ive used /r/penpals before with good results, as well as swapbot. Would highly recommend a po box.
Clicked on it and the first thing I saw is “women’s bodies were meant for the male gaze”
I’m not a fan of lemmygrad at all but yeah thats wild lol
I like to draw, write notes during my ttrpg games, and sometimes I write letters to folks. I also use a fountain pen(my moonman a1) at work! and, I journal sometimes. I haven’t journaled as much as I wanted to recently but that’s okay! Ive been trying to take it as easy as I can recently.
I hope that journalling works for you!
L-least there’s a solution to if I ever get a spider laying eggs inside my ear canal…???
yeah! You’re right 😭🙂! and I’m so happy to see it.
donations are important too! id like to donate more when I can eventually when I am more stable (in the most general term). one day
yeah thats what I plan on doing! I hope you’re right and I’m just being paranoid. thankfully a lot of other instances are defederating from threads too… hopefully it’ll be enough at least to keep a small part of the community safe
optimistically, the fact that zuck is even trying to take over the fediverse means he sees it as a threat. we’ve been already doing well enough without their “help” and it scares him
yeah but threads has advertising and corporate money backing it up checkmate library
for real though my greatest fear is that threads devouring the fediverse regardless of how much of a dumpster fire it is
why is suicide baiting so encouraged and normalized by twitter users as if they will simply disappear in the void if they dont tell someone to die.
I’d rather die, ive had enough hopping mad onto corporate owned services to the next.
I tried jerboa and liftoff, but for whatever reason it didnt click well for me. I almost stuck with liftoff, but now I’m currently waiting for boost for Lemmy to come out since ive used that app for the longest time.
what a cool article and website
