When I bought it there were only 2: the chapper one at around £250 and an AI enabled with a more powerful engine at around £500. I have the cheapest one

I have a kercher. The app does try to connect to the internet, but you can use it just by pressing a button.
So mine has no idea what the WiFi code is. I can recommend it, but bear in mind that I got the cheaper model (why would I want AI on a hoover?). I have it easy as I have a hard floor, so performance might be different on carpet

7·5 months agoNone. The blockade is mostly enforced by the insurers, and the 5 years lead time to buy a new boat. All Iran has to do is fire the odd drone/missiles every once in a while and no ship owner will risk it

World News•‘The damage is done’: global oil crisis has changed fossil fuel industry for ever, IEA chief says
15·5 months agoI think the argument is not so much for price increases (which we have now) but for the supply restrictions and destruction taking place. First consider that every month that Hormuz remains closed, the world loses about 2% of the yearly supply of oil and gas. Then take into account the long transition of the boats and the damage to wells and refineries means there will be scarcity. Heck, in some Asian countries that is already the case. And the scarcities will be global.
That is already baked into the world economy, just not factored onto the markets.

It’s not just Iran: Trump threatened to defend the Bond market with the US military. This is in the context of the US bonds rising. They are expensive enough now that the cost of servicing US debt is comparable to the amount spent on Defense! And in the last round, not all the bonds were sold.
So one way of interpreting Trump’s statement is as a threat: anyone selling US bonds and making our borrowing more expensive will be attacked.
If you were in a position to buy US bonds, would you buy them now knowing you might never be able to sell them?
The middle eastern economies are under pressure because of the war, and they have large amounts of Bonds… How will they react? If they don’t sell, their economies faces a recession. If they do, they might get bombed by what, until recently, they thought was the guarantor of their security.
Trump is destroying the world order and the US standing on the world, he is creating and accelerating the conditions for a massive economic recession, and all for a war for Israel. A war they cannot win.
