Oh, so it’s not so much that justice is being served as the Robin Thicke principle being enacted? That is to say that the defendant is such a major dick, he’d get a life sentence for first offense shoplifting.

Well, in the case of Gilgamesh, it was translated, just into Latin instead of English.
I started getting into alchemy a bit. Seems a bit esoteric. I find it intersesting that the social collapse of the 2nd century is finding so much spiritual resonance with the collapse of Enlightenment society in the 21st.
Just keep writing in Latin. It’ll get better and you’ll learn more. It’s also not a language you have any grammatical connection to (?), so it’ll take time to gain fluency.

Ah, yes, my apologies. I think I kind of was more interested in the Tagalog and the other one.
If you read old copies of translations, sometimes the sex parts are written in Latin to frustrate (or motivate?) children. Epic of Gilgamesh is a classic example.
I think Mark Twain rebeled against latin in all its forms as much as he could–kept advocating for AngloSaxon-based vocabulary like saddle-wheel instead of bicycle.
What works of Western Mysticism do you like to read in Latin?
Are you journaling in Latin at all these days?

You’re asking us for our goals, yet you never mention yours… maybe that would be helpful to think about.

Usenet is still kicking around? Wow! So if a place says it has 10 year retention, that means it has every usenet post for 10 years? That’s gotta be an enormous frickin’ library! And it might help me build my music library, which is pretty sparse since I can’t soulseek through a mobile connection (ports)…
My only real concern is software availability/usability on Android. I remember downloading from Usenet on desktop back in the day and it was very fussy.
I think this might be the way to go. Thanks for thinking outside the seedbox!
Hm. I really related to the autistic view of job interviews, if you’re looking for more support.
Here’s a funny one, which points out what interviews would be like if the roles were reversed:

I was deemed officially as not having full blown autism, but damn, can I relate.
Ask a neurotypical person. I have no idea. It makes little sense to me why you’re ability to do something would be judged by your ability to recall and talk about a time you did something. I know there’s a lot of things I can do and have done, but I don’t remember doing them in the past because my brain just doesn’t index things that way. And especially when you’re expected to come up with answers on the spot. Like I could probably come up with something I really did if you gave me at least a few inutes.
Because I ruminate on my failures a lot, those are easy to recall. So sometimes, in a pinch, I’ll talk about that situation as if I’d actually done the thing I was supposed to have done.
It is pretty wild when you realize there is 0% checking of all those, " Tell us about a time when" stories. You can absolutely 100% lie, and as long as you’re not misrepresenting your abilities in a way that would be caught out,
Also nuts that you’re supposed to be present as an inhumanly perfect thing, a robot.
Job interviews are all about making the interviewer like you, and the best strategy is pretending you like them. That and all the casual deception and lying expected of applicants is difficult to pull of if you’re socially neurodivergent.

What was your exact comment? Are you saying stories on the New York Times web page have to be independently verified? That’s kind of a high bar for a random user to clear.

What kind of rubber bands are they? The brocolli bunch bands are too stiff and too small for index cards.

I played the hell out of GTA 3… played the others, but, yeah, it’s basically the same loop with better and more involved graphics.
If it was Epic, they’d be bragging about how fast the game installs.
