It’s definitely worth watching once, though, if you’re into the cultural artifacts of the 90s (late 80s actually?). I wouldn’t say it’s even poorly made. It’s just a fuckin weird movie that has basically nothing to do with Mario Bros. Dennis Hopper as Koopa is an absolutely bonkers role that he puts everything into.

This movie gave me sexy shirtless John Leguizamo, which, looking back, seems significant.

A different interpretation: a “bottom” doesn’t like to play the penetrative role in sex, and so two bottoms become frustrated in a sexual scenario with each other.
I try to use gender neutral language in general until I know better. I will use they/them by default, and use collective words like “folks” that don’t indicate gender. This only ever pisses off bigots.
I can hear the incoming phone call as a buzz in the speakers before the handset rings.

Yeah, Karen, the PRC. 👀 You know, the Parallel Reciprocal Concept? 👁️👁️

Ay ay ay ay ay!

Haha I talked to my kids about burning CDs in the way of talking about old tech they’ve never encountered. They wanted a CD burner after that to try it out, so I found an external USB burner and a cheapo little boom box. They ended up downloading songs from our media server and some stuff from NewGrounds and burning a bunch of mix CDs. It was fun!
I was self diagnosed, but it’s good to have professional confirmation.

If you’re hanging out in a Linux community, then nobody is forcing that ideology on you. If you walk into a church, Christians aren’t forcing their ideology on you. Call me when Linux advocates take over a government and release a national security directive identifying Windows users as enemies of the state.
I miss Don Bluth.
Out of curiosity, how many people here have LEOs in/around the family who brag about arresting people for the totally real crime of “POPO” (Pissing Off a Police Officer)? My dad used to grin and laugh over that at the dinner table.

A weed is whatever your HOA says it is.
Okay…
Okay.
This is political support. Saying “energy supply is an issue of national security and politician react to that by building renewable energy sources” undermines the thesis of this piece.
The truth is renewable energy sources are winning because they’re better across a whole variety of metrics and anyone who says otherwise is in denial. The “political support” the article says we don’t have is just stupid people obstructing for political profit. There’s financial profit in renewables, so the capital goes there.
