1·2 years ago@bitofhope Many people don’t even realize there *are* alternatives.
I use LibreOffice at home and work, and the rest of people at work I think the one they’re using is called WPS Office. (They’re mutually compatible so the fact I use something different doesn’t matter much.)
Yet despite the many (mostly-compatible) options out there, people often don’t know of them. So pointing it out is … nagging?
🤷♀️
I guess they’re stuck if they don’t even want to hear about alternatives. C’est la vie.

0·3 years ago@juergen_hubert No, I don’t. I’ve only ever seen one German RPG, and that wasn’t it.

1·3 years ago@juergen_hubert Well “introduced” if you ignore practically every game made for almost 15 years before it. 🤣 (I know what you mean. I just think it’s funny wording!)

2·3 years ago@juergen_hubert I like a good rules *framework* with a small, consistent, easily-extensible set of core mechanisms that can be used for everything else.
If the rules then show how to use it for everything else (like C&S 3.0+) that’s icing on the cake.
What I don’t like is games with incoherent, inconsistent rules for everything that don’t interact well with each other (like AD&D’s entire combat system from surprise through initiative through actual combat, including unarmed combat).

@blakestacey Which, of course, I didn’t.
Because I don’t use Linux.
But hey, go ahead and continue being wrong. I’m sure you’re used to it by now.
