You become the Ghost Master in a unique witches brew of strategy, adventure, and ghoulish sim. Your sole purpose is to frighten the mortals right out of town.
Ghost Master features: 14 unique scenarios - ghoulish mysteries with multiple solutions; over 40 spirit types to command - from horrible cenobites like phantoms to hordes of spiders; 11 environments - ghostly atmospheres based on films of classic; horrors such as “Blair Witch” or “Evil Dead” and up to 30 separate characters per level for extended gameplay options.
Its an interesting little game from the mid2000s, kinda like a reverse tycoon where you have to evict people from their homes or from haunted locations by placing ghosts and scaring them. Both the placement and the type of specter influence how you interact with the people and the environments, in an attempt to puzzle out how to maximize your scares.
A reminder that while GOG does have its own client, its one of the few digital storefronts (maybe the only one?) that allows you to download a DRM free copy of your owned games - or if you’re from the pre-Steam days, simply download the installation files and run the .exe
