• I currently use fedora. I am absolutely fine with Ubuntu, but the setup process is a bit too much for me. I prefer flatpak and vanilla gnome, so it takes a bit of work for Ubuntu to get there. Also I feel like ubuntu use a different gui for different purpose, it is a bit annoying (for example, there are three GUI for updates, one for apt, one flatpak, one drivers.) It is not a big deal, but still annoying.

    All I need is just a stable os that I can work in, and I prefer not to mess with my os, to the point I avoid most customizations. So I don’t feel like cutting-edge/interesting distros, like suse, arch, or Nix, fits my work style.

    There are also distros like pop and mint, but they don’t support gnome well, and I haven’t get into the habit of using cosmos or cinnamon.
