The facial recognition company Clearview AI is telling investors it’s on track to have 100 billion facial photos in its database within a year, enough to ensure “almost everyone in the world will be identifiable,” according to a financial presentation from December obtained by The Washington Post.
They’ve already been sued by several companies, state governments, etc. But do you think a 6 justice conservative majority on the supreme court and a lame duck congress are actually going to stop them? They’ve already begun stacking management with important political figures from law enforcement and contract with many executive arms of the government like the FBI and DEA.
I wasn’t aware of all that and it is frightening.
