Today I was, finally, allowed into the closed beta of Kagi.

As far as I can tell, there are no ads nor tracking. There is a lot that I do not know since I just started using it a little bit today.

  • feels like the effort to reinvent/make the next big search engine has been pretty unsuccessful so far, because this is the fourth or fifth alternative search engine i’ve heard of (among those there’s YOU and Neeva) just in the past two years and they all kind of blend together so far, not least because they all seem to be built on the premise of privacy but seem to have varying commitments to that goal.
