Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon.
What are you playing now and what are you looking forward to playing next?
Been slowly working my way through Shadow of War, between probably a bit too much Against the Storm, Surviving Mars, Stellaris, and Timberborn.
How does Against the Storm play on deck? I love it on pc but playing it without keyboard and mouse seems intimidating.
Performance-wise, it’s reasonable, but it has the fan going quite hard. Input-wise, it’s also quite reasonable, though I find myself going slow or pausing more often than when I’m at my desktop.
I love shadow of Mordor but the randomized loot of Shadow of war left me constantly optimizing trash loot and I fell off after like four hours
I find myself not really being one of the people bothered about how optimal my gear is, I tend to use whichever coolest piece I find until something that’s strictly better in every single way (including in being cool to use) ends up in my inventory, and only switching out at that point.
Probably also meant I enjoyed AC: Origins and Odyssey more than some people, since it too had the slow min-max design of randomized loot - which I ended up completely ignoring without really meaning to.
