Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.

Me too. I just hope the algorithm will be smart enough to only show me those communities on my front page. Right now it is showing me everything and I have no idea if there’s any real algorithm deciding what shows up.
I have it only showing what I’ve subscribed to. Went down the already massive list of communities and clicked subscribe on anything of interest.
I did indeed subscribe to multiple communities of the same name but as already pointed out, some will last while others don’t. I’ll adjust my subscriptions accordingly.
Also, I love that I can easily see a list like that with a subscribe button next to each one.
