recent: tears of the kingdom, or as i like to call it botw 1.2, its the same thing all over again just with one or two added gimicks, the open world is dead, npcs are boring and nintendo just got away with it like that
not so recent: i cant stand persona 5, joker and his entourage are annoying teenagers, the time management is a horrible gameplay addition and the artstyle is just a visual overstimulation

Honestly, even if this is true, what staggers me is 1) That all of the Destiny 2 players I talked to somehow didn’t know about this, 2) That there’s no ingame guidance to point you to this since you literally can’t do anything else, and get forcibly booted into the first Lightborn mission on a return play.
Trying to join Destiny 2 as a newbie is a fucking nightmare without a friend there telling you exactly where to go and who to talk to. It’s wild in a triple A game.
I’m kinda glad it exists though, as an MMO shooter. That’s more interesting to me than cookie-cutter fantasy MMO with the same fight mechanics #238429104. And its melodrama is pretty fun.
