I went searching for something today and instinctually clicked on a reddit link. Fortunately the sub was dark for the protest anyway, but it’s crazy how ingrained in me it is to go to reddit for everything.
Unfortunately now we’re going to have to get used to clicking on those clickbait tech articles like “TOP 10 FACEBOOK ALTERNATIVES 2023” to find information, and weed out the crappy blogs.
I found it surprisingly easy. I don’t miss it at all and just deleted the apps off my phone that I used to instinctively open every 2 minutes.
Although there are some communities that haven’t flourished to the same levels here, I’ve found new ones and know the future is bright with opportunity.
Nothing last forever in life, so I miss the golden age of Reddit, but I also miss my 20s. It doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying my 30s though.
Maybe it’s because I’m busy with work this week, but I’m feeling the same way. I thought it would be a struggle, but I’ve just been coming on here and the LTT forums and mainly keeping myself busy with other stuff.
I hope it’s not just being busy with work, because that’s my week too! I all seriousness though, I feel liberated in a way, so I really don’t think I’ll go back.
Oh it is, I’m working 12-12 today across the country from home. Big project so I don’t have much free time unfortunately. Prob easier than going cold turkey, but yeah definitely liberating.
