I haven’t tried it in Mlem. It seems like the most reliable way is to use the search feature, and enter the community ID in the search box prefixed with !. For example, !asklemmy@lemmy.ml . On the mobile website after opening the search result I have to click on “Sidebar” to find the subscribe button. I don’t know where it is on Mlem.
