DIY Archery Target recipe, full Cardboard - Beehaw
beehaw.orgThis is a repost from a recipe I posted on r/archery: Been experimenting with
diy targets for a while. This is one made out of a 50x50 cardboard box filled
with stacked cardboard. I alternated cardboard scraps with thightly fitted
peaces to press them down. I finished them up with a U formed piece that sticks
tight and prevents the pieces beneath to come out on top. The benefits of this
is that I can just swap out the box (have several) reuse most of the filling.
Also it is cardboard only, no glue or else, which means it is still fully
recyclable. After some arrows thrown at, it I’ll probably put some flat pieces
to the back. Apart from that it works great so far
What draw weight and distance were you testing with? I’m afraid my 65 lbs compound will sail right through it, even at 30 meters.
That’ll probably be the case I only shoot 28 lbs and they go pretty far in already.
But suitable for building a first range
