Kbin and Lemmy are two different content aggregator software/platforms using the ActivityPub protocol.
One of the key differences is that, while Lemmy solely thread conversation/discussion platform, Kbin is also a microblogging platform (like Mastodon, Pleroma, Misskey, GoToSocial, etc).
Kbin also integrates better with mobilizon, the event planner federated platform.
