• Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks, specifically the songs with vocals. Haven’t kept up with the series in a while but my playlist has songs from everything from Sonic CD to Sonic and the Black Knight. I’m sure some of it is actually good music and some I only like because it reminds me of Sonic.

I guess it’ll take a few more dates before I show her What I’m Made of…

    • This is what I was going to say as well, although usually the non-vocal ones for me. Red Hot Skull from Sonic Adventure is such a good “go do the thing” song. Project Chaos (Sonic 3 fan cover album) comes up in my playlist now and then, too.

Side note: the original site for Project Chaos is still up, https://s3k.ocremix.org/, Flash animations and all. How long since anyone has seen a “download Flash” button…and a “download Internet Explorer” button, too! And it’s on ocremix.org, the site that @AFaithfulNihilist@lemmy.world mentioned.

      • Maybe it’s my self-consciousness speaking, but I feel like the non-vocal tracks aren’t embarrassing. A lot of people listen to video game music. But then you have songs that sound serious but explicitly mention Charmy Bee.

Red Hot Skull is a great track, thanks for reminding me to dig out the Sonic Adventure OST.
