There’s plenty of games you can just buy and not pay a subscription to. Hell, any game with a subscription is usually impossible to pirate, due to being server based.
Movies and TV shows almost invariably do require a subscription these days, though, unless you take to the seven seas.
Davinci Resolve (the basic version is free, premium is a one-time payment) + the Affinity suite (one-time payment) is a good alternative, unless you are specifically required to use Adobe apps.
Mostly, yeah. Between the telecom monopoly in Canada and 95% of movies games tv shows and music made after 2010 not interesting me in the slightest, I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all. The rare new game or bandcamp track I enjoy I have no problem paying a one time fee for. I’m not heartless or a thief but yeah… I learned very young how to get everything for free and it’s too easy to pass up.
