Moving to Lemmy from reddit proves to be challenging when it comes to rebuilding my home feed, especially since the ‘local’ feed only shows communities on the instance and account is registered on.
So are there good queer meme pages here on Lemmy, like me_irlgbt?
I’d like to have subscription categories… so instead of having all, subscribed and local you could have all, all subscriptions, subscriptionsA, subscriptionsB, subscriptionsC, …, local
Some people have floated an idea about a sort of size or activity-proportionate “Hot” sorting where both high volume and low volume communities are about equally represented, but it’d definitely also be useful to be able to only see stuff from a specific instance since often instances are thematic.
I keep saying this but I wish I had the energy to both learn how ActivityPub works and then learn Rust so I could help out with building Lemmy.
Yeah, I’ve been tempted to try and get into it myself or to develop another client (tempted to make a command line curses bases one) but… time and energy, yeah :P
