I have seen a comment floating around that “the algorithm” on Next Fest kicks in later this week after it builds out enough datapoints. Right now it’s a pretty raw and unfiltered list that eventually shakes out into what people are actually interested in.
Doesn’t shock me that such an open platform like Steam is inundated with AI nonsense and Next Fest is a casualty.
Yeah the fests for the past few years have done that, they even added a popup at the start of the page to let people know. But there’s soooooo many demos this time that people are still shouting about it.
Eventually the grifters will realize that the cost to generate + get the game listed on Steam isn’t worth it and will go off to ruin some other industry

Yes, the personalised Next Fest pages should start today (Wednesday). I pray it will work and actually start filtering out the slopvalanche.
