as far as i’m aware of no, but not because there’s an objection to nuclear—the NYPA just currently doesn’t own any nuclear power facilities (most of its energy production right now is hydro, interestingly). i believe it has previously, including the Indian Point reactors at one point, but it sold those off to private actors a long time ago. it could theoretically acquire the two existing nuclear power plants in the state, but idk how practical that’d be
There are small more affordable reactor designs now. Hopeful, that is something they will invent in. I am worried Germany’s energy sitution will repeat itself.
