Local subreddits. I liked interacting with people in my area and it helped me keep up on local happenings. The decentralized nature of the fediverse plus the comparatively small userbase makes it feel unfeasible at this time.

I don’t use other types social media (which I bet is a common sentiment around here), so those aren’t options.
