Nevertheless, there’s nothing creepy about crosses and you know it. The fact Christian churches have some nasty views on some issues doesn’t make their iconography creepy.
I grew up around icons and other Christian accoutrements. I don’t find them scary. Neither do you.
I was raised catholic, I’m heterosexual and OP. I don’t find crosses creepy, I do find OTT shrines creepy. Shrines to anything, not just Christian iconography. I also find overly realistic crucifixes creepy, as I commented elsewhere.
This isn’t performative, this is a lightheaded community about weird estate agent photos. It’s not meant to be deep, just mildly amusing. If you find it so tiring, feel free not to interact with this community. Maybe not creepy; but you can admit, at the very least, off-putting.
