MadMaurice ( @madmaurice@discuss.tchncs.de ) English14•1 year agoProbably. But it’s not as bad as I was addicted to Reddit. In some sense Lemmy has helped me though to get rid of that addiction.
0x4E4F ( @0x4E4F@lemmy.fmhy.ml ) English4•1 year agoNot having suggestion algos and customized feeds can sometimes be a good thing.
Followupquestion ( @Followupquestion@lemmy.ml ) English3•1 year agoLemmy is methodone or saboxin compared to the tainted heroin that is Reddit.
outadoc ( @outadoc@beehaw.org ) English3•1 year agoThere’s not enough content yet for me to be addicted, (un)fortunately.
Monologue ( @Monologue@lemmy.zip ) English3•1 year agoNo, i can stop whenever i want. Oh no.
0x4E4F ( @0x4E4F@lemmy.fmhy.ml ) English3•1 year agoSomewhat… like i find ways to escape work and obligations even for a short while, to browse Lemmy 😁. Yeah, that seems like an additction 😂.
sloonark ( @sloonark@lemm.ee ) English2•1 year agoI’m sorting by New and refreshing all day.
0x4E4F ( @0x4E4F@lemmy.fmhy.ml ) English2•1 year agoYeah, I do New all the time, don’t know why people don’t recommend that option more often 🤷.
radix ( @radix@lemm.ee ) English1•1 year agoPersonally I use Hot rather than New because of the sheer volume of posts that exist. It’s kind of a disincentive to keep scrolling if the content gets generally less interesting and less commented on as you scroll.
TheImpressiveX ( @TheImpressiveX@lemmy.ml ) English2•1 year agoI can stop using Lemmy anytime I want.
GiantBasil ( @GiantBasil@beehaw.org ) English2•1 year agoIt’s currently my preferred social media, but I’m definetly not addicted to it. Which is definetly a good thing to me. I’m trying to tone down mindless scrolling scrolling and do more purposeful browsing instead.
MinusPi (she/they) ( @MinusPi@pawb.social ) English1•1 year agoMy addiction to Reddit has been all but replaced by an addiction to Lemmy.

0x4E4F ( @0x4E4F@lemmy.fmhy.ml ) English1•1 year agoYeah, stats are in that ball park for me as well 😂.
intensely_human ( @intensely_human@lemm.ee ) English1•1 year agoYes
eofs ( @eofs@sopuli.xyz ) English1•1 year agoI have not visited Reddit for couple of weeks and I do visit Lemmy multiple times a day. So, yes? 😅
