Some good musings in there. I’ve struggled with getting my company on board with the amount of different communication tools that are necessary since many workers transitioned to a more-remote lifestyle since COVID hit.
I really enjoy that this person talks about some of the benefits of going even more async and how overhead like meetings can be significantly reduced with the right mindset. While I don’t personally mind meetings, it’s because they’re paying me either way and if they wish to be inefficient they’re welcome to do so. But I do push back a lot and let them know how these meetings are wasteful of not just my time but the time of others, and this person lays out some of the benefits of meetings in a way that they often aren’t framed and how that can be fixed in a remote environment with appropriate escalation pathways.

Last 3 years demonstrated that remote working works. Companies that stand against it will be swept away by the march of history.
