its actually the other way around. Funimation bought Crunchyroll but decided to consolidate under Crunchyroll. then decided to cut people off from the content they paid Funimation for.
Do they have the same decision makers as HBO?
Only if they share them with Sony.
So all the Funimation digital copies are being wiped from existence. It was a crap app, but they can’t even blame the license for running out. They could still provide everybody’s paid for copies, but instead they’ve just decided they want to pretend they’re another company… Streaming was a mistake.
