The driver in question received many tickets over a period of time.
When the driver saw a police officer, they flip them off, committing contempt of cop.
The police probably without sufficient probable cause pulled him over, and he refused to provide his identification and he got arrested
I’m glad they are exercising their freedom of speech, but they are clearly a edge case, a reasonable person would not taunt the police and expect to have a peaceful day.
frogmint ( @frogmint@beehaw.org ) 5•5 months agoIf you’re going to exercise your free speech like this, you need a dashcam (front and rear) for your own protection. You can’t break any laws, not even 1mph over the speed limit. Turn signal every time. This is the way.
