Does anyone know of a website that recommends music based off a chosen song, that is also open source?
I’m sure I had one bookmarked but I can’t seem to find it.
Cheers
ThetaDev ( @ThetaDev@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) 4•3 months agoDeej-Ai is pretty cool. It uses a model based on scraped Spotify data and can automatically generate playlists. https://deej-ai.online
Cwilliams ( @Cwilliams@beehaw.org ) 4•3 months agoThis sounds like you’re referring to scrobbling. ~~Try https://last.fm~~
Edit: last.mf is closed source. It sounds like ListenBrainz or LibreFM is the foss option
noodlejetski ( @noodlejetski@lemm.ee ) 1•3 months agoit’s closed source.
AnExerciseInFalling ( @AnExerciseInFalling@programming.dev ) 4•3 months agoThere’s ListenBrainz, the open MusicBrainz version of last.fm
vort3 ( @vort3@lemmy.ml ) 2•3 months agoOpen source version of lastfm is librefm AFAIK, unless it was rebranded to music brainz or something.
However I never tried librefm and don’t know if it has anything like recommendations system.
AnExerciseInFalling ( @AnExerciseInFalling@programming.dev ) 3•3 months agoAck librefm completely slipped my mind
AFAIK they’re two separate projects for the same/similar goal. I know ListenBrainz has a recommendation system, but it might still be in it’s early days
