I think it’s certainly possible it was a false flag
But are people actually going to be surprised that someone took a swing at him? It’s sure as hell more likely.

If all goes as Trump and his coattail-riders have explicitly stated they intend it to, by this time next year (if not sooner), the United States will be some combination of plutocratic and christofascist autocracy ruled by an all-powerful dictator.
I don’t think it’s particularly surprising or unreasonable for people facing that prospect to grab at any fleeting hope that might drift by, no matter how desperate and irrational.
In fact, that’s a well known dynamic among people with a terminal illness. Which is what all Americans other than the coming ruling class and their followers very much are.

I do have, I think, legitimate questions about the incident that raise my eyebrows a bit.
That being said, in the end, it doesn’t matter if it’s a false flag or not. It’s done exactly what Trump needed to happen.
