cadekat ( @cadekat@pawb.social ) 59•4 months agoJesus fuck, you censor the word “motherfucker” but leave the author’s name intact?
DragonTypeWyvern ( @DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social ) 23•4 months agoWell she’s the one that publicly posted it and her tag is her name.
Zoomers just don’t care about doxxing themselves.
spujb ( @spujb@lemmy.cafe ) English14•4 months agodoes people associating their name on their twitter account count as doxxing?

Sonotsugipaa ( @Sonotsugipaa@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English8•4 months agoWell? Don’t leave us hanging, who owns it?
JackbyDev ( @JackbyDev@programming.dev ) English3•4 months agoThe water mark makes me believe whatever BoredPanda is got some rights to share the tweet and they censored mother fucker, but maybe the tweeter didn’t care to have their name censored.
LifeInMultipleChoice ( @LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English2•4 months agoI’m curious how 1984 is AP Lit. We read that years before AP classes were even available… Does that mean they get college credit for reading Orwell now?
blindsight ( @blindsight@beehaw.org ) 5•4 months agoThere are university classes analyzing children’s picture books. It’s not about the difficulty of the book, it’s about the level of the analysis.
1984 is quite unique as a piece of fiction, since almost a third of the book is an appendix about language and history. It’s an excellent book to analyze.
JackbyDev ( @JackbyDev@programming.dev ) English3•4 months agoThe difficulty of texts from AP literature versus my honors English courses prior to it weren’t very different. And no, you got college credit for completing the AP exam which involved reading passages and writing essays, not merely reading Orwell lol.
fairchild ( @fairchild@sopuli.xyz ) English26•4 months agoself hatred fueled writing extravaganza. sounds familiar
ouRKaoS ( @ouRKaoS@lemmy.today ) 20•4 months agoNGL, I want to read the rest of this paper now.

🇰 🌀 🇱 🇦 🇳 🇦 🇰 🇮 🏆 ( @Kolanaki@yiffit.net ) English16•4 months agoI had to stop this because if I sit down to just write whatever comes to mind, I’ll be writing for 3 days straight with an ever increasingly chaotic storyline that is beyond incoherent after a certain point once the sleep deprivation really hits. If there ever was a good idea in it, it’s now impossible to find even when edited down.
NigelFrobisher ( @NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone ) 10•4 months agoAt least “self hatred” and “caffeine induced” should be hyphenated there. See me after class.
guyoverthere123 ( @guyoverthere123@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English8•4 months agoOk, but where’s the rest of it?
You can’t just have an epic intro and leave it at that.
Infomatics90 ( @Infomatics90@lemmy.ca ) English5•4 months agoif i was her prof id give her the full 35% for that intro.
jjjalljs ( @jjjalljs@ttrpg.network ) 4•4 months agoI don’t grade papers, but I imagine a bit of flavor stands out favorably from all the other very generic writings.

“The process for electroplating the contacts is to DROWN THE FUCKERS IN A BATH OF SOLUTION AND USE THE FORCE OF THEIR FINAL GASPS FOR BREATH TO TRANSFER THE PLATING MATERIAL TO THE BASE MATERIAL”
I didn’t forget to change it though.
