Just started using. It seems to be a good calendar. We got the 2 person Proton account and family sharing is great. I think you can also share it with any another Proton account.

Yup, it was shitty of the CEO to praise Trump’s pick for FTC and the republican party in general. He was clearly sucking up to Trump. But he also did not remove a bunch of holidays from the calendar and reiterated they will continue ignore subpoenas from the US. I don’t like what he said (and I had a talk with my partner about whether we should look elsewhere) but that is not bending the knee. It is a push and pull in regards to consuming products from awful companies and fulfilling needs. As long as they keep not complying with the US, I am tentatively going to stay with Proton. If you don’t agree, that’s fine, but no need to be a jerk about it.

Truth be told, I’m salty about proton, not necessarily about what the ceo said (that too), but its like a canary in the mine, isn’t it, a portent of things to come. So many companies are bending the knee, ufortunately.
I used to pay for proton becase it saved me time and piece of mind, now since I left I have to self-host everything, because I no longer want to move my shit around every time something goes the way of enshittification. That means time and effort spent on setting up and maintaining everything. Its a chore.

I just switched from my Proton package of services to alternatives. For mail and calendar, I went with Tuta and I’m surprised by how ignorant I had been to their functionality - really good!
